To be eligible to attend Refresher Safeguarding training,  you need to have completed the Foundation & Intermediate Safeguarding course within the last 4-5 years.  After a gap of 5 years or longer, you are advised to repeat the Foundation & Intermediate Safeguarding course.

Refresher – course content

• To refresh and widen knowledge and confidence of the URC good practice guidelines
• Exploring principles of safeguarding; promoting, preventing and protecting
• Expanding on    

1. updates to legislation and statutory guidance
2. Roles and responsibilities
3. Developing and ensuring Culture change frameworks
4. Types of Abuse
5. Recognising and responding to concern (The 4 Rs)
