We are very excited to be able to confirm the date of the first Wessex Synod, Church Safeguarding Coordinators (CSC) Away Day.  The venue will be Fleet URC or you have the option to join virtually but you will miss the sandwich lunch!

It is great to be able to welcome Dr Lisa Oakley who will be attending as the guest speaker, Lisa is an Associate Professor at the University of Chester. She is also the Chair of the National working group for abuse linked to accusations of witchcraft and spirit possession and the Church of England Task and Finish Group on Spiritual Abuse.  Lisa will be helping us look at Spiritual abuse which is an emerging issue and a controversial topic area, but together we hope to gain an understanding of this area and how it fits with our roles in safeguarding.
