Safeguarding Training - Foundation & Intermediate at Banbury URC @ The Haven on Saturday 7 June 2025 Arrivals from 9.30am for 10am start.  Finish at 4pm. Bring your own lunch.

This is a bespoke intermediate safeguarding training course aimed at local church elders. The pre-course expectation is that everyone will have completed the eLearning foundation safeguarding course. This intermediate training course will cover: The difference between adult and children safeguarding How to develop a safeguarding culture within your church Develop your understanding of the role and responsibilities that elders have within the church Support your understanding of the URC safeguarding structure and how this can support you Seek to help you understand the five safeguarding actions outlined by the Charity Commission

Online safeguarding training - Refresher course For those who need to Refresh their training after 3 years.   Two online sessions of 90 minutes. Safeguarding Training - Foundation & Intermediate at Fareham URC on Saturday 20 September 2025 Arrivals from 9.30am for 10am start.  Finish at 4pm. Bring your own lunch.

Safeguarding Refresher training (for people who have previously completed Safeguarding Foundation & Intermediate training) at Woking URC on Saturday 27 September 2025 This Refresher course is 4 hours. Arrivals from 9.am for 9.30am start.  Finish at 1.30pm.

Safeguarding Training – Foundation & Intermediate at Bitterne URC on Saturday 4 October 2025 Arrivals from 9.30am for 10am start.  Finish at 4pm. Bring your own lunch. NOTE:  Parking. All car parks in Bitterne are now charging.  The current charge for you to park for 6/7 hours is £6.00. Nearest car parks are the Angel Crescent Car Park, off the slip road from the A3024 labelled Bitterne and Woolston, and the Peartree Gardens Car Park, at the back of Sainsbury’s.  Both car parks are equi-distant from Bitterne URC. Please do not use the White's Road Car Park as that has a 2-hour restriction.

Advanced Safeguarding Training Thursdays 9th & 16th October 2025, 6.30pm - 8.30pm on zoom Participants must attend both sessions to complete the course and gain a certificate. Places are limited so priority will be given to those in mandated roles. Anyone who has completed the safeguarding foundation & intermediate course or Refresher is welcome to apply.
